Sail away from the safe harbor

I am feeling a bit anxious about this whole PhD plan, and particularly about a big scholarship interview tomorrow.  It’s such a huge step, and I feel very underprepared.

However I recently came across this quote from Mark Twain. It really does describe the way I lived when I was younger and freer, and it encourages me in this new adventure.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
